Equatorial Guinea, as the name suggests, is located on the Gulf of Guinea, near the Equator, in the heart of Africa. It is a small country but full of places to discover. Its capital, Malabo, is located in the northern part of the island of Bioko. Its streets are a combination of Western and African architecture (the country was a Spanish colony that became independent in 1968). Bata, meanwhile, is the most populous city and is located on the mainland. Half of the territory is full of tropical forest biodiversity.
