Croats call their country "Our Beautiful Homeland" which is not surprising, since it is one of the most beautiful corners of Europe. After the war, Croatia reinvented itself as a Mediterranean country with crystal clear waters, island paradises and medieval towns where Western and Oriental architecture meet. The city of Dubrovnik is one of the country's highlights, while others include its nature reserves, spectacular coastline and islands like Korcula and Hvar off the Dalmatian coast as well as Rab and Losinj in Kvarner Bay. The islands welcome millions of tourists in search of peace and the chance to practice naturism, a custom strongly associated with the country.
