Meridian Port Douglas - Adults only

A great spot, very conveniently located near centre of town and marina. Staff very friendly and helpful. A large pool too, ideal for relaxing.

Good location but, the bathroom & kitchenette areas weren’t very clean & floors were dirty.

Sowohl das Apartment als auch das Gesamtgebäude befinden sich in einem sehr guten neuwertigen Zustand. Es ist optimal gelegen und zu Fuß sowohl den Strand als auch die Einkaufsstraße zu erreichen. Der einzige Punkt, den ich für verbesserungswürdig halte, ist die Abschaffung von einzelnen Plastikverpackungen für Shampoo, Körperlotion und Waschlotion. Hier kann viel Plastik gespart werden, wenn auffüllbare Gefäße verwendet werden.

Good condo property.

The Young receptionist on arrival was extremely helpful and lovely. The floor was dirty, with Minimal cutlery and crockery. No area outdoors to relax in the evening with friends Lounger seating is damaged but hidden with cushions The outdoor area very noisy with traffic The ground floor room is very noisy next to the entry and main road

Good central location, adults only a plus for those not keen on kids shouting around the pool. Comfortable king bed (2king singles joined together). Nice pool and never overcrowded.

Very close to the main street of Port Douglas and the beach. This was handy especially given the choice of restaurants. The accommodation, however, was tired. The inclusions in the kitchen and bathroom were basic. While cooking was an option, aside from the food, literally everything to do so needed to be bought. If staying less than 7 days, room service (ie clean towels etc) was not offered.

We've just returned from a week at the Meridian, room 5 ground floor. Shade all day near pool entrance but we also had a small courtyard for sun and was very private. The only thing I would've liked would be the property locked at night. Very relaxing place to stay.

Few basics not great. No change of towels the entire stay. I had a credit card on file I was told wouldn’t be charged until departure and it was charged twice before then.

Meridian was an excellent stay, so conveniently located. Our room was changed and it was perfect. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire property.

Good location. Everything in walking distance.

The property is very basic and a bit tired. The studio room was clean but extremely small. Access to a complimentary washer/dryer was very handy. Wasn't permitted to extend my check out time, even by half an hour. Property is walkable to everything. If you just want clean, basic and affordable, this is a good choice. But it wouldn't be mine again.

Great property. Easy checkin and great location. Sad they didn’t remove previous renter things on cleaning. You might want to leave cleaning products for a week stay since your one week service only changes linens

最高に素敵なホテルです。スタッフ全員が暖かく家族のようでとてもリラックスして過ごせました。チェックインは14時でしたが、9時に到着した私達のために近くのお店で朝食を食べている間に掃除を終えるので食べ終わったら戻ってきてと提案いただきました。母も一緒なのでとても助かりました。そしてサイトでは取れなかった時間のツアーを予約してくれたり、バーベキューの火をつけるのを手伝ってくれたり、このホテルでできることがたくさんあります。 初日はフライトで疲れていたので部屋でゆっくりした後にプールのベッドでも日光浴しながら寝ていました。その時間さえ幸せ過ぎました。1週間滞在するならキッチン付きの部屋がおすすめです。町の大きなスーパーが徒歩7分くらいにあり、カフェやお土産を見るついでに買物もできるのでとても便利です。窓からは中庭のプールも見えて景色が良いのでテラスでの朝食も最高でした。部屋は快適で使い勝手が良く、滞在中の清掃は一回でしたが、問題ないです。食洗機も洗濯機もあり、清掃時間を気にせず過ごせるのは良かったです。洗濯機は隣りの部屋と同じですが一度も会いませんでした。3月は雨季なので天気が悪くてもホテルで快適に過ごせそうと選びましたが、海もマリーナも町にも近く便利過ぎてホテルでの滞在時間が少な過ぎたのが残念です。食べ物と飲み物を買い込み、外出せずに部屋とプールでゆったり過ごすのも楽しめます。暮らすように過ごしたい人には本当におすすめです。

All great except the bed.

Location, staff, pool and facilities were fantastic. But one problem, the bed was way too soft. Sore backs all round.

Great Location

Super Unterkunft, tolle Lage, schöner Pool. Wir kamen etwas später an - und obwohl die Rezeption schon geschlossen war, war alles organisiert und kamen schnell auf unser Zimmer.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay. Everything was excellent A . Locality was great and close to the beach and shopping and dining options. Very quiet (no kids); which suited our needs for this trip. Would recommend.

Supremely quiet and comfortable place. The management staff Sue and John were extremely helpful and pleasant. Would highly recommend the Meridian to anyone wishing to have a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Very disappointing, there are much nicer places to stay in Port Douglas. We will never stay or recommend anyone to stay there again.

We found the Meridian exactly what we wanted quite relaxing close to all facilities,eg beach shopping ,restaurants fabulous central location easy walking distance to everything and also very helpful in organising day tours

Highly recommend Meridian Port Douglas. We had a fantastic time. We were greeted at reception by a friendly and smiling Sue, who promptly checked us in and showed us to our apartment. We chose the one bedroom apartment with pool access and it did not disappoint. Clean, tidy, kitchen fully equiped, comfortable bed and pillows. The property itself was great. it was amazing to be able to sit on our own pool deck and if we wanted a swim access was easy. Location was a quick 1 minute walk to the main street of Port Douglas where we were spoilt for choice of what restaurants/food out lets and shops for everyone. if it was the beach you were after that was only 5 minutes walk away from the property. Thank you to Sue and John for making our stay great.

They could give a few supplies like paper towels and coffee pods

Amazing location & quiet property. We had a garden suite & our own courtyard which was so lovely & private! The pool is amazing & you can walk everywhere from this location. Best day of snorkelling from Port Douglas with Wavelength - amazing stay!

Very clean, quiet, comfortable bed and a lovely pool to slip into from our room. Short walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Great place to stay.

The Meridian was such a nice place to stay. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the beach, from main street and very close to everything in town. The pool area is beautiful, so quiet and relaxing. We liked that it was Adults only, to be honest. We did not stay in the rooms with direct access to the pool, but I'll try those next time! The room was big, with a well organized kitchen and a huge bathroom. It had a clothes line, iron and iron board, coffee maker... The balcony was too small though, with only two chairs, not very comfortable. But I am sure they have rooms with bigger ones. We had a laundry room (washer/dryer) next to our bedroom that we could use as much as we wanted (it is free, they have soap on site as well). That was super convenient. The only things I would improve: access to beach towels (they are kept in reception area and staff is not always there), hot tub water did not seem very clean, the room had a couple of wiggly doors... very small things. Overall, we loved the place and will stay there again the next time we visit. Also, the person at reception was super helpful. We booked our transportation from and to the airport through the hotel and it was super efficient. She made sure to confirm our pick-up time and location, even though we moved to another hotel the last night (we decided to stay an extra night and the Meridian didn't have rooms).

Kid Free a big bonus

Nice place to stay, nice pool. Friendly staff. Easy walking to beach, shops and restaurants. Stayed 14 nights and for the money we paid thought our room could have been cleaned at least once. I don’t go on holidays to changed my own sheets and to vacuum…

Unfortunately extremely disappointed and felt the price exorbitant for the amenities provided. The on line photos were not a true reflection of the room

We had great time staying in Meridian and would definitely stay again! Place was clean and quiet, close to everything and the highlight was- no kids around pool area 😀

Difficult to sit around the pool...if not on grd floor need to move furniture...not many sunny spots

Strange Covid rules??

Strange Covid regulations, we had to make our own bed etc. In Cairns we had full service each day and we are paying top dollar at Meridian.

Excellent location and super easy walking distance to all the amenities. Really clean and very friendly operators.

Relaxed Quiet Accommodation

We stayed four nights at Meridian as part of a longer trip around Queensland. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable and well appointed. A day bed on the deck if you needed to relax. The pool is long enough for exercise and sparkling clean. We were surprised with a generous cheese platter and bubbles on arrival. The property was maintained COVIDSafe and the managers extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.

Lovely Port Douglas.

A lovely complex - bright, clean and well maintained. It’s not huge but that’s a good point. Three floors plus garage in basement (parking is free). Bed was huge and very comfy. Studio apartment was bright and reasonably spacious. Location was extremely handy for the Main Street, beach and markets. The complex (and town) were quite quiet because of the Covid effect. But we enjoyed our stay there nevertheless. Staff (Sue) was very welcoming and helpful. All in all, a great success.

Clean property with good facilities and great location. Minutes to 4 mile beach and short walk to Main Street. Our 1 bedroom unit on first floor was spacious with a good size balcony overlooking the pool. Would return

The property was just lovely. The only one thing I could say is our room did not have one photo on the wall. Port Douglas is a stunning part of the world. Our apartment had 4 bare walls. There could have been a photo of a beautiful beach, a sunset, the Great Barrier Reef etc etc. not having any photos up made the apartment a bit bland.

Impressive quaint retreat

Although the hotel itself is slightly older, the cleanliness and presentation of rooms was impeccable, the grounds were extremely well kept and the pool area was so relaxing! The overall vibe of this hotel made for the perfect long weekend getaway.

A wonderful, welcoming place to stay! Sue and John were really helpful, advising and booking us trips. Really close into town, an easy 5 minute walk to restaurants, shopping and bars. Just what we needed! No kids, a lovely pool and easy going atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer war einwandfrei. Ganz prima, dass stets für 2 Zimmer eine Waschmaschine und ein Wäschetrockner zur Verfügung steht. Sehr schöne Poolanlage. Hotel liegt sehr zentral.

Small adult only property in a good location within easy walking distance to town. Property was older but room was nicely equipped and comfortable.

highly recommend this property to any adults both single or couples. I stayed as a single for 7 days and just loved it. The managers Sue, and her husband, are great in looking after their guests needs . I will certainly be back very soon.

Meridian Port Douglas.

The room we had was on main road so couldn't use the balconies. Nice pool. Five minutes walk to centre of Port Douglas which is a lively town and thoroughly enjoyed. Great trip out to Mossman Gorge.

This was our second visit to this hotel and we loved it just as much as before. It is in an ideal location close to the shops, beach and marina. We stayed in a pool suite which was spacious and well appointed. The manager, Sue, is always friendly and helpful and we are already planning our next visit.

Smaller property, so quieter. Lovely unit and lovely pool. Just out of the CBD Meridian is close to everything. Car park underneath very convenient. Will come again. Loved Port Douglas.

Our trip to Port Douglas was made all the better for our choice of accommodation ,the Meridian,it was excellent in all respects,very friendly staff and wonderful amenities.

The studio apartment was clean but tiny with barely a kitchenette. For a 5 night stay and considering the rate/price of the apartment it would have been nice to at least have the towels changed once and the room cleaned. Poolside room meant we had to close the shutters as people were directly outside of the bedroom. Too expensive for what was offered.

No children, it is a lovely relaxing place. We had a room straight into the pool and there was no sun at all in our area, due to winter and sun being lower i think this should be clearer on the room descriptions

We stayed 3 nights while visiting Port Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest and really enjoyed this hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the communication was excellent. Very clean and well presented rooms. The pool was awesome for those warm winter days. Very quiet, great location, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Being a child free break it was lovely that it was a child free property. Within walking distance to everything Port Douglas has to offer. Very friendly staff.

First impressions are important.....

Check in was very average, the man at reception was too busy on the phone having idle chit chat. The location is perfect The condition of the pool was average, lots of debris on the bottom of the pool from day 1, only saw the pool pump on once in 5 days

The pool area was fab. the reception were helpful and kind. It was quiet and relaxing. Really close to everything you needed. Picturesque and clean.

Amazing place in Port Douglas

Meridian was an outstanding find in Port Douglas - highly recommend it to anyone coming to stay. The location couldn’t be better; you’re a two minute walk to Four Mile Beach and three minutes from the main street with cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. The owners of the Meridian are accommodating; the room is clean, spacious, and beachy. The only thing to be aware of is that the rooms aren’t cleaned every day, so hold onto your towels!

Simply perfect

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Apartment style with amenities and multiple rooms with plenty of space to relax. Patio and pool access were unmatched in any place I have stayed before. Walking distance to town, beach and marina. Friendly management made all our excursion arrangements that were timely and just what we wanted. I would highly recommend this place for any couple looking for a romantic get away.

Close to beach and town

Being a adult only resort it was nice and quiet the people that ran it were very nice and it was close to restaurants ,cafes ,beaches, and shops we had a great time and would definitely go back. My only negative comment would be that the bathrooms are a bit tired

The lady on reception is very lovely. Underground car park had plenty of spaces and made parking easy. Heated pool was beautiful.

Great Stay

Great location, near the hub of Port Douglas, friendly hosts and quality apartments. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The pool area is also really nice.

Great location! Close walk to town and the beach. The pool was also very nice. The room was spacious and well maintained.

Spacious room and laundry in room was good. Would stay again and just a short stroll to the centre of town.
