Wonderful and peaceful stay

The apartment is well equipped with standard apartment fittings. When we entered, the apartment had lingering smell of food. Not a big deal but a fresh air would have made a nice welcoming impression. Water heating and pressure are good. Fitness centre is decent, swimming pool adequate for lounging and kids to play in. Location is definitely away from the busy tourist-prone area but its peaceful and enjoyable. Nearby there is a convenient 7-Eleven and a coin operated laundromat. Once u walk out about 5min there are local establishements around for food too.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Napat. The staff were helpful and friendly. A nice and quiet neighbourhood. There’s a 7-Eleven just nearby so it’s very easy to get some emergency food and person hygiene items. It’s walking distance to the Jingjai Saturday Market and the Siri-Wattana Market. For the shuttle from the hotel to the airport is not free, so please make sure you keep some cash for taking Grab to the airport (it’s around 200 Thai Baht). Besides that, I really like this hotel and would recommend this place if you are looking for some a convenient enough place but stay away from the busyness of the CBD.

The staff at reception are so welcoming and attentive here. The place has the expansive feel of a big hotel but it is a rather small hotel; small enough that the restaurant staff remember you from one visit to the next, much like a guest house would feel. The restaurant serves a fantastic breakfast buffet complete with self serve touch button espresso machine and made to order omelettes or waffles. The only black mark I could give the place is late night revealers not being monitored when they return to hotel rooms; but a quick call to security nipped that in the bud. All corner units are spacious one bedroom Junior suites with a nice sitting room and nap worthy sofas. I love a full suite on a high floor with a western view of Doi Suthep and the planes taking off in the distance. This sunset freak will rarely miss that golden hour. Grand Napat is my HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

The staff was amazing and so very friendly. They called a taxi for us whenever we needed to leave the hotel, allowed us a late check out and has a free shuttle to and from the airport. Great price for an upscale property

The service is impeccable here. There are many choices and we are very glad we chose Grand Napat. The room is very large with a kitchenette. There’s free airport transfers and that may not seem like a big deal now, it is after traveling so long. The driver was waiting for us with a sign and we spent less than 3 minutes in the airport after getting our luggage. Breakfast is free. People often complain about the buffet selection in reviews but when you have free plus eggs made to order, waffles made to order, and their hot buffet, this is a great deal. It’s a great savings to your budget not having to eat that one meal out. The location was great for us ... we used Grab half the time then rented a motorbike for our day trips. The bed is comfortable, there are two AC units in the room, a walk in closet, two TVs and a patio. The service here is the best. The pool and gym are great. Thai people are very kind and helpful. This is our choice for our next visit.

Busy city beak in Chiang Mai

Our 1st impression of this hotel was disappointment as the free airport shuttle we pre booked did not turn up - we got a taxi for 300 Bhatts The area a little run down and slightly out of centre. However, to put this into context we had just arrived from Hong Kong and had been staying in a 5 star hotel 5 times the price per night. The Hotel grew on us . The apartment style room was spacious with kitchen, lots of complementary drinking water , toothpaste and brushes etc, robes and slippers. Our view from the room was dull and overlooked some buildings/ car park. Although lots of balcony space nothing to sit on but then view not that appealing. Some rooms overlooked pool with city backdrop they would be better I think . Pool and gym pleasant small boutique feel. Breakfast- ok . Basic but could order a hot dish each. Hotel staff- this is what turned our view around . Always helpful in ordering taxi!s - much better price than when we found one ourselves. Very sweet and polite- although they did not always understand what we wanted- they tried . Location: taxi into centre 15 minutes -night markets only 1.5 miles but busy traffic. there are Resturant’s you can walk to but we always went into town. There is a restaurant in Hotel for dinner - we did not try it. Overall: great budget hotel. Be prepared to get a taxi wherever you go . This suited us as we were out touring most days so our budget went on excursions. We did get free shuttle back to airport.

The pictures were very deceiving as when we got to our hotel room it wasn’t what we wanted or asked for, the room was very run down and out dated we asked for a studio room king bed and was given queen bed in a small room assuming because we don’t speak the laungage they just gave us whatever. For the amount we paid I expected more.

Great property, bad location

These are apartments, so you end up with a full living room, a small kitchen, a separate bedroom, etc. It's a really nice place to stay for a few nights (heck, I'd even live there long term). The front desk staff is very friendly, but most of the staff appear to be trainees, and communication in English is not nearly as smooth as it is at other hotels and at restaurants. The location also leaves much to be desired; it's a good 25 minute walk to the nearest part of the old city. There are some street vendors nearby, as well as a few local restaurants, but the real variety of the city is a bit of a walk. On the one hand, it's a great way to get your daily steps in. On the other hand, it gets hot in Chiang Mai, and walking a mile just to get to the city can get really old.

The room was large and would be great for a long stay vacation. It is a little way outside of the Old City so you will be spending money on cabs or tuk tuks. nice room, hard to find

This hotel is nice enough and has all the right amenities. It's a bit out of the way, unless you want to go the bar area around the corner. But because it is recessed in an inner courtyard, it is very difficult to find. It took an Uber driver 30 minutes to find me because the location marked on GPS is to the back gate, which is locked. The front gate is on the opposite side and has a sign to mark the entrance but the actual hotel is quite far into the courtyard, which is difficult to find for taxis and if you are not already familiar with the location.

Friendly staff and nice rooms

Booked this hotel with the purpose of escaping the grimey hotels/hostels we had been staying at so far in Thailand. We were happy with our choice. The property is not large but the pool was nice. Chairs were a bit worn down but didnt matter. Gym was new and clean. We were upgraded from a studio to a suite and were very pleased. The room was spacious and well decorated. The hotel staff was accomadating and friendly the entire time. They ordered us ubers anytime we asked since we did not have the app. Cost 50baht to go to night bazaar compared to 100-120baht with a taxi (to and from). Do not accept any taxi above 120 from the night bazaar/old city. breakfast was great...no complaints The only negative was the numerous geckos on the walls. They were on our balcony constantlu so had to make sure the balcony door was closed. We found a huge cockroach in our room and called front desk right away. They came up in 1 minute and killed the cockroach....even though you could tell he was scared too. Very helpful staff.

Great stay!

The location of the hotel was secluded and quiet, but a little far from Night Markets and Night Bazarr. Taxis are around 60 bahts (I learned it is cheaper to use taxi than Toktok, which costs minimum of 100 bahts) to get to those places, so it is not too bad. The bathroom smelled bad, and the walls are very thin. I could hear all kinds of noise along with a couple having sex at night, and that was gross. Other than that, staff is very nice and helpful, and the room is spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast was super delicious. They also have a free shuttle service to the airport, which you must reserve a day ahead. Overall, I would recommend this place. It is a good value for the price.

Nice rooms, great service

Everything about the Grand Napat is great, for me that is. And the rooms are good value for money. I just stayed 3 nights there then moved to another place inside the old city for the same money and it was terrible. So I went back to the Grand and the managers went out of their way to accommodate me for a second stay at a very good rate. It is located approx 3kms north of the city centre, just far enough away from all the party noise and traffic etc. I'm really happy to be going back for rest of my stay in Chiang Mai.

Would stay again.

Booked a 3 night stay in a studio room. Room was clean but decor out of date, shower was hot. Rooms were spacious with a small sofa and kitchen area. Mini bar in room. Pool area was nice and modern and was clean, sunbathing towels provided by the pool. Allowed us to check in an hour early and there was good wifi in all areas of the hotel. Free shuttle bus at 18.30 to the night bizarre or walking street depending on the day. Hotel slightly out of the main area but only about 10 mins in a tuktuk for 100baht. Overall good stay and would return again. Downsides were the lack of sun loungers by the pool (8 in total), small balcony with no chair or table and bed was quite uncomfortable.

Clean and good breakfast

Our stay was brief, one night but it was wonderful for amnemities and breakfast. We did have to plan transportation to the night bazaar and markets and tour offices; about 10 minutes ride away. Airport is just under 20 minutes away. It's nice to be just outside of the crowds though.

Lovely hotel

The hotel was a mixture of service apartments and hotel rooms. The room had a very basic kitchen area, with a microwave and fridge & there was a 7/11 convenience store close by in case you wanted to keep things cheap. I had written our airport arrival times on the special instructions, but due to communication problems, i did not have a chance to confirm the airport pick up, so was expecting to have to make our own way to the hotel. However, our airport pick up arrived with my name on it! The room itself was spacious and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful in organising tours - we arranged a cooking class and an ethical elephant tour through them (Elephant Jungle Sanctuary!). Would highly recommend this hotel - close to an eating area, but also very easy to get to parts of town like the old city with their famous red sharing cabs which are also an absolute bargain!

Clean hotel and delicious breakfast

Despite not very variety of choices of breakfast but it was definitely delicious as they change the menu everyday. Kids love the waffles.

Great room for families!

We stayed in the "Suite Two Bedroom" which was for 4 people. My family was also happy about this clean and spacious room. Breakfast with quite a lot of choices. The pool was small but nice and actually enough for us to swim for a bit. Tesco is about 10 to 15 mins walk ,bars and restaurants are all around. Getting a red Songthaew is always easy in Chiang mai. You can simply turn right to the 7-11 side after going out of the hotels' main entrance and walk along for few mins then you will be at the main road!

Nice hotel away from city center.

A bit hidden, you cannot see it from the street and a bit away from the city center (which for me is a plus). Lots of amenities nearby like restaurants, supermarkets, laundry, barber shop, etc. The building seems to have some years, and maybe some of the carpets need a change, but the rooms were comfortable (we rented 2 rooms, party of 4 people), equipped with a small kitchenette. I would probably expect more of the housekeeping service, as it seems they could have done a better job. Even though I didn’t have the opportunity to use the pool, it looked very nice. Breakfast selection is good, with eggs/omelettes made to order, the problem is that the dining room is a bit small, and the team working on it seemed a bit disorganized. As an example, there were 4-people tables with only 2 people seating, and they should have accommodated the customers accordingly, to avoid queues outside. The personnel was kind, helpful and attentive, as you would normally find across Thailand, but I have to personally commend the work and attention of Ms. Rapeephan. We had a problem with the shower electric heater in one of our rooms, which short-circuited on our last night, releasing a bit of smoke smell. She kindly offered us to change the room. She also helped us on another questions, always willing to help, providing the best assistance and information. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I would probably return to this hotel again if I ever have the chance to go back to Chiang Mai.
