Krk is the biggest island in the Adriatic, across from Rijeka in the Gulf of Carnaro in Croatia. Located in the Kvarne Bay and with spectacular views, there is intense tourism activity year round. It's connected to land by a bridge with the biggest cement arc in the world. The climate is continental, with rainy seasons, warm summers and cold winters. The agriculture is very important for maintaining their quality gastronomy, a delight for visitors. Its medieval architecture with a marked religious influence is another of this island's tourist attractions. Not to mention the beaches, with their blue pristine water which are the main attraction for visitors. It also boasts unspoiled mysterious inland villages that are free from outside influences. Its calcareous origin gave way to the formation of caves that are ideal for caving enthusiasts. No day is like another on this island, here you can get around by bike or go hiking in the hills, try their delicious sheep cheese, surlice pastries, great fresh fish and seafood along with a local white wine. Our selection of apartments in Krk offers you unbeatable quality and price.

The old town of Krk

The first thing you should do is visit the heart of the island, the city of Krk. Its architecture is influenced by the Roman Empire and ecclesiastical powers throughout history. It's worth paying a visit to the Cathedral de la Asunción and its two churches, Santa Margarita and San Quirno, as well as the bell tower dating back to the eighth century, the Frankopan castle, the Torre Square, the Mercados Square and the Town Hall from the fifteenth century that has been adorned with a Renaissance fountain. Walking through the narrow streets in the old town is a pleasure, with white walls and flowers everywhere. You can also drink a glass of wine as you try the local island cuisine at one of the many bars and restaurants in the old town. In some of the squares in the old town during July and August there are concerts, theatre and dance performances. If you want to stay in this area hurry up and rent one of our central Krk apartments because the demand is high and the supply is limited.
