Kissimmee is located in the southern state of Florida, very close to Orlando, in Osceola County. It's a small city with a tropical climate, warm and humid, with average temperatures between 22 and 31 degrees Celsius. Its charm lies in the tranquility and safety of its streets, very typical of the southern cities in the United States. It has a well-designed urban structure, with clean streets, lots of color, vegetation and large shopping centers. Its history dates back to the 19th century, when, as a result of the division of central Florida, the Osceola County was created. Kissimmee became the port for steamships sailing through the rivers that flowed into the Tohopekaliga Lake. The Kissimmee boom began in 1971, when Disney World opened and the city was transformed from a peaceful southern community into an international tourist destination. Nearby are different parks, such as Disney's Magic Kingdom, Sea World, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios Orlando, Universal Islands of Adventure and Legoland.
From the massive influx of visitors, sporting activities and entertainment developed in the everglades, which can be explored in fast inflatable vehicles from which you can observe wild crocodiles in their element and millions of colorful birds in a remarkable natural environment. You can also go sport fishing, water skiing and rowing. Kissimmee is famous for its golf courses and some, such as Mystic Dune and Falcon's Fire Golf Club, are open to the public. If you move away slightly from the city, you can milk cows and attend the area's traditional rodeos at the Kissimmee Sports Arena . Music lovers can visit the Old Town, a retro area where on Wednesday nights the music and doo-wop dancing from the 50s and 60s take over the Darlin and Cruise-In streets. If your mind is focused on experiencing different flavors, Kissimmee has a unique wealth of gastronomy. Several restaurants interpret scenography, such as the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Capone's Dinner & Show, which are famous for their delicious food and entertainment. So take a look at our offer of accommodations and dare to live out this adventure by renting one of our Kissimmee apartments.
