Xabia is located in the Valencian Community and proves to be hugely popular with expats. Here, the lifestyle is laidback with a heavy emphasis on family, but there's also a strong tourist scene with plenty of things to see and do. There are three parts to Xabia. Firstly, there's the small, authentic old town, which can be found inland and is filled with charming shops, traditional restaurants, and plenty of age-old architecture to admire. Then there's El Puerto, the port area, which sits next to the old town. This is the stylish part of town, with a handful of elegant cocktail bars, high-end restaurants, and boutique shops. Finally, there's the beach zone, which sprawls out to the south. The beaches are sandy with incredible views out to sea. Whichever side of the town you're most excited to explore, make sure you check into one of our apartments in Xabia for the perfect base.
Xabia's old town is a picturesque display of authentic Spanish life, with winding laneways lined with boutique stores and handicraft shops, as well as plenty of cute cafes, restaurants, and bars to check out.
It's worth taking a wander through the streets and discovering the whitewashed buildings with unusual Gothic features. You can pop in and out of the museums and galleries, and marvel at the incredible detail of San Bartolome, a Gothic Church in the heart of the town.
If you're feeling hungry, you can head to the bustling food market that's bursting with fresh fish and fruit stalls, and have a coffee break at one of the stylish cades in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
Thanks to its lush beaches and host of activities, Xabia accommodation offers a number of affordable and comfortable options. Near the coast there are a handful of resort hotels that boast their own swimming pools and incredible views out to sea, whilst further inland there are a collection of cosy guesthouses and homestays that provide an insight into local life. As well as these, there are a couple of hostels dotted around that offer an affordable way to really get under the skin of Xabia, and there are lots of apartments and budget studios to rent out with stunning views over the surrounding landscape and the Mediterranean. Regardless of the accommodation style you choose, you'll have a wonderful time exploring everything Xabia has to offer.

Xabia was made for adventurous travellers. As well as incredible beaches to stroll along and swim at, you can also try your hand at scuba diving and snorkeling. The underwater world in this part of Spain is particularly beautiful, with hundreds of different species of fish and marine life. There are plenty of dive shops dotted around the coast and a handful of PADI courses to try out.
In addition, there are loads of hiking and walking routes all around Xabia, particularly in the national parks and surrounding scenery. You can also try some mountain biking along the crisscross of country trails.
For adventurous younger members of the family, there's a crazy golf course and a go-kart track near Arenal Beach, and plenty of swimming pools to try out.
Whether it's adventure you're after or a quiet trip, our Xabia apartments provide the perfect place to head back to after a day spend exploring.
Xabia is almost in the middle of Alicante and Valencia, so you can travel to either of the airports in these major cities.
Alicante Airport is set 85km from Xabia, with a shuttle service called BENICONNECT that travels between the airport and Xabia. The prices are very affordable and buses run regularly throughout the day, particularly in the summer months.
From Valencia Airport, which is about 95km from Xabia, it's a little more difficult. Buses run twice a day from the airport to Xabia, or you can get the shuttle service into Valencia's city centre and catch one of the more regular bus services to Xabia.
Alternatively, you can get a taxi from either airport to Xabia, which takes around 1 hour 30 minutes.
