Frankfurt hosts a great live music scene, and you can find a trendy concert venue on practically every corner. Tigerpalast is known as one of the best venues in town and puts on live cabaret-style shows with eight diverse performances, including acrobats, dancers, and even animal acts. As well as the theatre space, there's also an on-site fine dining restaurant and a trendy bar.
If you're more of a music fan, head to Batschkapp which has been showcasing legendary bands since 1976. Famous faces like The Pogues, Supergrass, and Korn have graced the stage at this intimate venue.
For jazz enthusiasts, there's Jazzlokal Mampf which is one of the hottest jazz and blues venues in town. For the most part, you'll get to see local German musicians perform, but on rare occasions there are more well-known faces scheduled in. Alternatively, you can pop into Der Frankfurter Jazzkeller, a basement bar that hosts a programme of great jazz events. As well as trendy décor, there's a great local beer selection and a friendly crowd.
Book one of our Frankfurt apartments so you have a close and comfortable place to stay after a hard night checking out the local live music scene.
Frankfurt Airport is close to the city centre and is one of the busiest air hubs in Europe, which means there are plenty of ways you can easily get into town. The S-Bahn trains run direct from the airport to various hotspots around the city, with a journey time of less than half an hour. Alternatively, there are air shuttle buses that travel from all the terminals into the centre of the city. Otherwise, you can always hop in a taxi from the stands outside the airport, which offer a quick and relatively cheap way to get to your final destination.
Once you're in Frankfurt there are a number of public transport options that will help you get around the city.
