Esbjerg is located in the southeast of the Jutland peninsula, opposite the island of Fanø in the Wadden Sea in Denmark. It's Denmark's main port and one of the most important in all of the North Sea. Places to Visit in Esbjerg

  • Mennesker ved havet (Men of the Sea) is a nine meter tall statue with four men sitting by the sea that represents the essence of Esbjerg, and is one of the city's classic sites. The monument was made in white granite by SvendWiig Hansen.
  • The Maritime Museum in Esbjerg is located by the port, just 10 minutes from the center. The exhibition is comprised of antique utensils and other objects that reveal the city's origins and the evolution of the Danish fishing activity. There is also an aquarium and entertaining shows with seals where kids get the chance to feed and touch them. How to Get to Esbjerg

The Esbjerg Airport is located 10 minutes from the city center. Across from the arrivals gate you can catch the bus lines 8, 44 and 48. They all drop you in the center of Esbjerg and leave regularly.
