The most well-known beach is called Levante, with more than one kilometer of fine sand, showers, bathrooms and the Jaume I marina. There is also the Salou lighthouse, the Villa Romana de Barenys and the Port Aventura theme park.
  • 30 kilometers to the south of Tarragona is Miami Platja , known for its panorama of activities such as thematic routes, sports and lots of nightlife. Its coastline is made up of beaches with bars, restaurants and beach clubs that are open late into the night in the summertime. You can visit Costa Zefir or go to the Bonmont Terres Noves golf club and other locations with beach and sun. You can also find small, forested inlets perfect for taking a rest in the shade on the really hot days.
  • La Pineda is much more than just beach and sun, it has a golf course and the Aquópolis theme park, the tickets can be bought in advance at a lower price. The values range from €23.75 for the family to €14.90 per person.
  • The historic center of Tarragona was the first Roman settlement. You can still see a vaulted gate around the Provincial Forum of Tarraco. In the old town, known as Part Alta, you can visit some of the nice cafes. The Roman Amphitheatre at Tarraco is not to be missed, with the remnants of the Visigoth basilica of Saint Fructoso and the archaeological remains of Tarraco's Roman Circus. You can also spend an afternoon on the Rambla Nova, where shops, terraces and restaurants are located.
  • La Ampolla is an old fishing town in the Delta del Ebro. It's a town with lots of history and traditional festivals. Oysters are one of their gourmet delicacies, they can be prepared in various ways and in May and December the Delta oyster gastronomical festivals are celebrated. Another place to visit is La Bassa de les Olles, a lagoon in the Delta region with tremendous natural diversity where you can go bird watching.
  • L'Ametlla de Mar is a small town open to tourism, where if you come with your family or your pet you will be given a warm welcome. If you enjoy food, there are lots of great restaurants with fresh seafood and products from the countryside. Llarga Beach is the best and has been certified with the Blue Flag seal, which guarantees good water quality, services, safety and environmental sustainability. If you prefer small coves you can visit "el Roc" by bicycle, where you can surf the waves in the afternoon, although it can be risky because of the rocks.
  • Reus, birthplace of the modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, it's known for the Reus hazelnut, which is used in Mediterranean cooking. On the Modernist tour you can visit some of the local architecture such as the university hospital built in 1897. Vermouth prepared with masclet is one of Reus's traditions, it's a typical drink that you have to try.
  • Hospitalet del Infante is named after the medieval hospital founded by Pere de Aragón. It's located on the Mediterranean Sea at the foothills of the Sierra Mestral. The city has all the beauty and atmosphere of the Mediterranean, with terracotta houses with colorful roofs.
