The closest airport to Benalmadena is Malaga Airport, which is easily reached by taxi. This is the most popular way to get from the airport into town as the journey only takes around 20 minutes and prices are relatively cheap. It's great if you have lots of luggage or want to get to dropped directly at your destination quickly and without hassle.
Alternatively, there is a bus service that travels from Malaga Airport to Benalmadena. The bus station can be found just outside the arrivals hall at the airport where buses leave every half an hour. This is the cheapest way to get to Benalmadena, although the journey takes around 1 hour so it's definitely not the quickest way.
Then there's the train service which runs from Malaga Airport to Benalmadena. The train runs through to Fuengirola along the coast but stops at a handful of tourist destinations on the way, including Benalmadena. The train station is situated right in the town centre, so it's easy to navigate your way to your final destination when you arrive.

El Elefante is also located in downtown Benalmadena next to the old Bonanza Square. This huge club showcases a range of DJs every night of the week, as well as unusual performances like hypnotists and magicians.
If you want to hang out by the picturesque marina, there's Boals Ice Bar , the very first bar on the Costa del Sol where everything is made of ice. It's a unique way to spend the night and enjoy a Finnish inspired evening with cold drinks and upbeat music. Alternatively, you can head to Banana Café, a club with a youthful vibe that blasts out all kinds of music throughout the night. It's famed for its lengthy cocktail list and its trendy young crowd.
Along the seafront there's the Peacock Tavern , with a tropical-style garden and live music. It's perfect for families who want to make the most of the early evening.
