Sugarloaf Mountain is equally as iconic and you can trundle up in the cable car to discover the magnificent views from its peak. Parque de Catacumba is a lesser-known place in Rio by Lagoa, the city's lake. Here, there is a beautiful park to explore and a number of uphill trails that lead you to incredible views over the lake and the beaches of Ipanema.

Arriving in Rio de Janeiro
