Apartments in Nerja – Cheap Boutique Accommodation

Nerja sprawls out with a low-rise charm against the backdrop of the Sierra Almijara. The old centre has retained its traditional roots, with winding backstreets and quaint, historic architecture, as well as a large collection of artisan shops and souvenir stalls. In the heart of it all there’s the Balcon de Europa, built on the remains of an old fort and boasting incredible views out across the ocean. These days, Nerja is a popular destination for sun-seekers and it has seen a number of urban expansions carried out over the past few years. This means there are plenty of high-end restaurants, luxury bars, and trendy cafes to enjoy around the perimeter of the city centre. To soak up the Spanish sun and enjoy a city that’s both a beachside hotspot and a cultural gem, check into one of our Nerja apartments.

Beautiful Beaches and Balcons - Things to do in Nerja

Nerja is a beautiful mix of stunning beaches and centuries-old history that come together to create a fascinating destination that’s perfect for relaxing and exploring. Our apartments in Nerja are dotted throughout the city, and many can be found close by to all the major attractions.

Adventure Activities in Nerja

Nerja is very much a peaceful beachside hotspot, but if you’re looking for a bit of adventure to spice up your trip there are plenty of things you can do.

Sea kayaking is hugely popular along this stretch of coastline, giving visitors the chance to explore the region and its spectacular scenery from a different perspective. From Burriana Beach, you can paddle your way around jutting cliff faces and past hidden coves to Maro. It’s an exceptional way to get to know more about the natural side of the area and it’s a firm favourite outdoor activity for adventure lovers.

For a land-based adventure, try hiking up El Cielo. This is the highest coastal mountain in the region and has a tangle of hiking trails that crisscross around it. A hike to the top exposes you to incredible views across the undulating landscape and out across the glistening ocean. You might even be able to see all the way to Malaga and the North African coastline on clear days.

Keeping with the hiking theme, you can also hike up the Chillar River. This is a popular route for families, as it offers a cooler alternative to the mountain hikes and revels beautiful scenery along the way.

Base yourself in our Nerja apartments, from which you can explore every side to the city – from the historic old centre, to the lush beaches, and the adventurous activities.

Nerja Apartments – Nerja Accommodation

Nerja Accommodation

Nerja accommodation is a mixture of plush hotel resorts that sit proudly on the outskirts of the town, beachside studio blocks with balconies that look out over the sea, and quaint guesthouses and B&Bs tucked away down the winding lanes of the old town. There are plenty of boutique apartments dotted around, too, which let you explore the city on your own terms and at your own pace.

Navigating Your Way to Nerja from the Airport

Nerja lies about 65km from Malaga Airport, and there are a number of ways you can travel from there to the city centre. Taxis are a popular option, with plenty of stands outside the airport. The journey is quick and takes you past some incredible scenery, but it’s definitely not the cheapest option.

The cheapest way is to get the bus. From the airport, you’ll have to catch a bus to Malaga’s bus station, and from there you can change onto the bus to Nerja. The journey takes around two hours, but you can gaze out at the spectacular wild scenery along the way. You can also get a train from the airport to Malaga’s bus station, which is quicker than the bus but slightly more expensive.

A lot of people choose to hire a car from the airport and drive into Nerja themselves. This is a great way to get to know the region, stopping off in traditional towns along the way. It’s also great to have a car once you’re in Nerja, because you can take impromptu day trips to the surrounding regions.
