Valencia Accommodation

Valencia is a city with two sides. On the one hand, you have a traditional Spanish city that revolves around culture and heritage, and on the other hand you have a stylish science and arts centre that's constantly striving to move forward. These two sides are reflected in Valencia accommodation, where there are a selection of grand hotels filled with modern facilities as well as rustic, charming guesthouses and hostels that boast a typical Spanish ambiance. Elsewhere, seaside apartments offer incredible views of the ocean, and cheap city centre studios provide a local experience.

Nature Walks and Paella Dinners -- Local Living

Valencia is a hotbed of contemporary design and old Spanish culture, and there are plenty of things to do under the tourist radar. Start by exploring the Gardens of Turia which are set across the old sunken riverbed. The beautiful green space spans the length of the city, weaving a lively natural habitat through the hustle and bustle of the urban centre. Here, you can cycle and walk around the colourful surroundings, take a picnic and spend an afternoon relaxing amongst the greenery, or get active on the sports fields.

For a cultural afternoon, take a stroll through the city's old quarter and discover some of the impressive street art that adorns the walls. From large, playful murals to smaller, politically-driven pieces, there's a new splash of work around every twist and turn.

Lastly, it's a must to explore the local culinary scene like a local. The city is famed for its paella and you can usually try a delicious recipe in any of the restaurants dotted around. In times-gone-by, wealth was measured by what kind of meat you had in your paella. These days you can pretty much get most varieties of meat, including chicken, duck, prawns, and beef.

Our apartments in Valencia offer a great portal in to the past and provide the perfect base to explore all the finer points of the city from.

Valencia Via the Airport -- Getting to the City Centre

Valencia Airport is located 8km outside of the city centre and there are numerous transport options for getting into town. First of all, there is the city's fast, efficient, and cheap metro service which has two lines running to different parts of the city centre. Alternatively, there is a direct Aerobus which takes passengers from the airport to various spots around the city. Buses leave every twenty minutes throughout the day and are a great way to see some of the sights on your way in.

There is also a busy taxi rank located outside the terminals where you can grab a ride to any destination in the city centre. Fares are cheap and the journey is quick.

Many visitors arrive in Valencia via other Spanish cities and neighbouring countries on the efficient cross-country rail services, too.
