Quirky Cafes -- the Creative Side of Moscow

As well as a deep-threaded history and a collection of incredible old buildings, Moscow is also home to a vibrant young culture that brings an array of creative wonder with it. Throughout the city, you'll find numerous cafes that are bursting with new-age design and quirky personalities. As Moscow races into the present-day, more and more of these charming establishments are popping up around every corner.

More Vnutri combines a café with a creative art space. As well as admiring the eye-catching artworks on display, you can also take masterclasses and workshops in a variety of arty disciplines. Meanwhile, don't forget to tuck into some of the healthy vegetarian dishes and the freshly made drinks. Then there's Didu, an unusual café with plasticine walls. Wicker chairs hang from the ceiling, whilst a mishmash of furniture comes together in harmony -- oh, and the walls feature an endless supply of weird plasticine sculptures.

Usadba Freelabs is another unusual addition to Moscow's café scene. Set inside a historic mansion, it brings together old and new with contemporary design and a clientele that is almost exclusively made up of creatives.

Making Your Way to Moscow -- From the Airport to the City Centre

Getting to our Moscow apartments from the airport is easy, provided you know which airport you're flying into - with three different hubs it can get confusing. There's Sheremetyevo Airport, which is predominantly dedicated to international flights coming in from Europe and America, Domodedovo Airport, a smaller hub that's increasing in popularity with low-cost carriers, and, finally, Vnukovo Airport. All three are served by the Aeroexpress train company, which offers the easiest and cheapest way to get into the city centre.
