  • Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding is a cultural center for tourists who want to discover the Bastakiya neighborhood. Here you can sample tea with sweets at specialized places, something very typical of the local cuisine.
  • The Jumeirah Mosque is Dubai's most famous Mosque and the only one that allows non-Muslims to go inside. However you cannot enter with shorts or tank tops and women must be veiled. The visits are guided. This mosque deserves a visit.

  • TheMadinat Jumeirah Souk is a shopping complex built like a traditional souk. You can buy souvenirs, clothing and fabric. You can also have a drink at one of its many bars, restaurants or terraces that have the feeling of an ancient arabic city. In addition, you can go for a ride in an abra, a traditional wooden boat, or enjoy views from the Al Burj Al Arab at 321 meters high. If you stroll through this area it may seem like you're walking through a tale of the Arabian Nights.

How to get to Dubai

The Dubai International Airport is in Al Garhoud 5 kilometers from Dubai. The bus line number 401 will take you to the Deira neighborhood and the 402 line to Bur Dubai. The metro is an efficient and inexpensive way of getting to Dubai. Lastly, you can always use the taxi service or rent a car to go at your own pace.
