With over 4km of sandy shorelines, Blanes easily gives its popular neighbours Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar, a run for their money. Though it might not be quite as big as these tourist havens, it still packs a punch with its incredible sea views, its menu of fun activities, and its vibrant nightlife that bursts into action after dark. There's also a traditional charm that still imbues the town of Blanes, with plenty of authentic restaurants dotted around and cosy bars that hark back to yesteryear. In addition, you'll find some excellent architectural offerings and entertainment that's a fully fledged part of Spanish history. But it's the beaches that draw in hordes of visitors in the summer months. The sprawling golden sands offer the perfect place to kick back, relax, and enjoy the sunshine. Enjoy everything the town has to offer with our Blanes apartments. We have a range of spacious, budget accommodation options that can be found in all the best parts of the resort.
The easiest and most popular way to get to Blanes is to fly into Barcelona's El Prat Airport. From there, you can grab the airport train to the central Sants station and change to the line that travels straight to Blanes. Trains leave regularly from here, particularly throughout the summer months.
Alternatively, you can get a bus from the airport. These buses usually only run in the summer months, and stop off at multiple destinations along the Costa Brava on the way.
You can also get a taxi to Blanes from the airport. Journey times vary depending on the time of day you travel and your final destination, and you should always agree on a price before your ride begins.
Finally, you can hire a car from the airport, which allows you to travel at your own pace and stop off in offbeat place along the way.
Blanes boasts a mishmash of things to do, incorporating both its burgeoning tourism industry and its traditional Catalan roots. Whatever activities interest you the most, make sure you check into one of our apartments in Blanes to get the most out of your stay.
Blanes' beaches are wide and sandy, and are flanked by high-rise hotels, luxury restaurants and terraced beach bars perfect for watching the sunset from.
Platja S'Abanell is the longest beach in the Costa Brava and spans out in a flurry of sunbeds and umbrellas. Here, there are numerous opportunities to try your hand at fast-paced water sports like jet skiing, surfing, and paragliding, as well as plenty of chance to relax and soak up the Spanish sun.
Then there's Platja de Blanes , the main beach in the town that runs alongside the centre. It can be found stretching out between the picturesque harbour and Sa Palomera ('the rock'), and is a great place to take a dip in the clear Mediterranean waters.
For something a little more rugged, there's Playa dels Capellans y Punta de Santa Anna , which is a rocky offering that boasts a wild backdrop, or Cala de Sa Forcanera, a charming cove tucked away from the hustle and bustle of life in Blanes' centre.
Our range of Blanes apartments are studded all around the town's coastline, so you'll never be far from a sprawling stretch of sand.
Because it's predominantly known as a tourist resort, Blanes accommodation is mostly made up of resort-style hotels that flank the coastline, many of which boast their own pools, restaurants, and selection of activities. Surrounding these, you'll find plenty of self-catering apartments and budget studios to rent, which offer a more individual stay with spectacular views. In the town itself there are a number of traditional guesthouses and intimate B&Bs where you can really get to know the cultural charm of the region, and a couple of hostels for budget travellers looking to enjoy the town's nightlife. Blanes is a relatively small town, so wherever you choose to stay, you'll be within easy reaching distance of all the main attractions and activities.
