Apartments in Gandia – Cheap Holiday Rentals

Situated in the Valencian Community on the beautiful Mediterranean coast, Gandia is easily reached from Valencia, which is 65km away, and Alicante, which is 96km away. The main town of Gandia was once a major part of the Borja dynasty, and there are plenty of historic narratives to follow throughout the winding lanes and in the traditional Spanish scenes. But Gandia is a city with two faces, and its other side is a fun, beachside resort that draws in thousands of sun-seekers every year. With its combination of laidback beach life, cultural gems to explore, and incredible landscapes, Gandia is the perfect place to lay down your towel. Whether it’s a cultural adventure you’re after or a simple week in the sun, our apartments in Gandia provide a comfortable, spacious place to rejuvenate and relax.

Exploring the Rich History of Gandia

At one point in time, Gandia was a hugely important part of Spanish history when it was a major player in the Borja dynasty. The Borgia family resided here during the Renaissance period and were one of the most infamous noble families of the time.

In addition to its past in the Renaissance period, Gandia was also an important cultural and commercial centre during the 15th and 16th centuries. During this time, it was a favourite hotspot of numerous poets and writers, including Joanot Martorell and many others.

The rich history of the city is still visible in many of its monuments and designs, particularly in the Ducal Palace, which was a major part of the Borja dynasty and now reflects the intricate designs and aesthetics of that time, as well as in Gandia Cathedral, a beautifully ornate building in the heart of the city.

Elsewhere, the Passeig de les Germaines offers a traditional look into Spanish life, with a collection of rustic fountains and a weekly market held every Saturday.

Most people don’t know that Gandia is split into two parts, Gandia City and Gandia Playa. The beach is the touristic area, but head to the old town to really get to know the beating heart of Gandia’s history. It’s here that you’ll find all the centuries-old monuments and statues, and explore the historic vibe that runs through this part of time. Our Gandia apartments can be found all over the city, giving you easy access to the historic sights.

Apartments in Gandia – Gandia Accommodation

Gandia is so much more than a holiday resort. As well as magnificent, bustling beaches, it’s a haven for culture lovers with its collection of museums and galleries, and it bursts with a unique Spanish charm with relaxing plazas and plenty of traditional facilities. Check into on of our Gandia apartments to experience everything the city has to offer, from gorgeous sands to delicious restaurants and a fascinating history.

Gandia Accommodation

Because of its two distinct personalities, Gandia accommodation is a bit of a mixed bag. In Gandia Playa, there are lots of high-rise resort hotels with pools and all-inclusive facilities, as well as seaside studio blocks that overlook the sea and are close to all the beachfront attractions. In the city’s old town, where the historic narrative runs rife, there are more traditional forms of accommodation. Guesthouses and homestays offer an intimate way to get to know the city, whilst charming hostels provide a budget backdrop to explore everything on offer from. Then there are boutique apartments dotted throughout the city, surrounding all the major attractions, and offering an independent place to set down your stuff and start discovering the two different sides to Gandia.

Getting into Gandia from Valencia Airport

Valencia Airport is the closest air hub to Gandia, and it’s really easy to get to via a number of public or private transport methods.

Firstly, you can hop on the train from Valencia. First of all, you’ll have to take the metro from the airport to Valencia’s Estacion Norte in the centre of the city, where you can then grab the train to Gandia. Trains leave about every half an hour or so and tickets are very cheap.

Alternatively, if you’re travelling with lots of luggage or want to get to your final destination quickly, you can get a taxi from outside the airport terminals. Journey time is just under an hour and you can experience the beautiful scenery along the way.

A lot of travellers opt to hire a car from the airport, as this gives them the independence to travel at their own pace and stop along the way at various towns and villages if they wish. If you hire a car, it also means you’ll have an easy way to get around Gandia and the surrounding regions during your stay.
